An independent resource helping South Australian voters discover alternatives to major parties and understand how their vote works.
Beyond Two Parties SA exists to help South Australian voters make informed choices in the 2026 State Election. We believe voters should have easy access to information about all candidates—not just the major parties who dominate media coverage.
Provide clear, accurate information about candidates, voting systems, and electoral processes in South Australia.
Help voters understand how preferential voting works so they can vote strategically without "wasting" their vote.
Give visibility to independent and minor party candidates who often lack the resources for widespread advertising.
Present information without endorsing any candidate or party. The choice is always yours.
Beyond Two Parties SA is an independent, volunteer-run project. We are:
We strive to keep information accurate and up-to-date, but:
Listing a candidate on this site is not an endorsement. We aim to include all candidates standing for election, regardless of their political views. The descriptions and information provided are factual, not promotional.
We compile information from official and reliable public sources:
GeoJSON boundary data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) State Electoral Divisions 2025.
abs.gov.auOfficial election dates, voting procedures, and enrolment information from ECSA.
ecsa.sa.gov.auCurrent member information for House of Assembly and Legislative Council.
parliament.sa.gov.auCompiled from ECSA nominations, candidate websites, and verified media reports after nominations close.
Beyond Two Parties SA is a volunteer community project. We are ordinary voters who believe in the importance of informed democratic participation and want to make electoral information more accessible.
This site is self-funded by volunteers. We do not accept donations from political parties, candidates, or lobby groups. We have no advertising and no commercial interests.
Major parties already have significant resources for voter outreach. Independent and minor party candidates often struggle to get visibility. We aim to level the playing field by helping voters discover all their options—while still providing information about major party candidates too.
